A Houston native, Jose Camacho grew up with music and has been playing violin since the age of 5.

His previous professors include Rodica Gonzalez, member of the Houston Symphony, Johnny Chang, principal violinist of Theater Under the Stars Orchestra, and Andrzej Grabiec, world-renowned soloist and conductor.

Alumni of Virtuosi of Houston, where he served as principal second violin for three seasons, Mr. Camacho has been honored to perform in venues such as Jones Hall of Performing Arts in Houston, Texas, Carnegie Hall in New York, and Grande Salle Pierre Boulez in Paris, France.

He studied at the University of Houston, where he pursued a Bachelor of Music with elective studies in Music Marketing.

He has also performed with local community orchestras during his time here in Houston, and is the current Orchestra Manager of the Texas Medical Center Orchestra.

Zelda Gray

In addition to her work at TMCO, Zelda Gray is the Founder & Director of Zelda Presents, Director of Classical Revolution Houston, Co-Founder & Violinist of Mud Turtle Quintet, Co-Founder of Chamber Collective, a regular performer with local orchestras around Houston, and member of Filipinx Artists of Houston.

She holds a Bachelor of Music from University of Houston’s Moores School of Music, a Graduate Performance Diploma from The Boston Conservatory, and has been active in cities across the US and abroad as a performer, educator, music ensemble contractor, and concert curator.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Jennifer began playing bassoon at age 11, performing with the Houston Youth Symphony and attending summer music camps like Brevard Summer Music Festival & AFA. She pursued her music education by obtaining a degree in Orchestral Performance on the bassoon from Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe, Arizona, under the tutelage of Dr. Albie Micklich.    

Jennifer’s more than 20 years of intensive musical studies helped her discover her true calling: helping others and spreading the word about worthy causes supporting the arts & human services. Prior to her current position at Rice University, she spent several years at Rosie’s House, A Music Academy for Children located in Phoenix, Arizona, advocating for support of classical music education to underserved youth.

Since 2018, Jennifer has worked at Rice University in the Office of Information Technology as a Digital Communications Specialist. She is a Prosci Professional and ITIL trained.

Currently, Jennifer is 2nd bassoon for the Texas Medical Center Orchestra and the Website Manager.
