Pre-Screen Video Audition Requirements: A solo piece and two contrasting orchestral excerpts. Each selection should be approximately two minutes long.

Pre-Screen video submission deadline for the second audition of the 2023-2024 season is December 27th, 2023.

Media Authorization and Release Form

The Texas Medical Center Orchestra has been featured in local and international media. If you’re a member of the orchestra or if you collaborate with our organization, you may be featured in photographs, videos, and other multimedia. TO PREPARE FOR THE AUDITION:

For the audition you are required to prepare three selections of your choice: A solo piece and two contrasting orchestral excerpts. Each selection should be two minutes long approximately. We would like to hear a fast, technical segment and a slow lyrical segment. We will be listening to your intonation, phrasing and rhythmical abilities.

If you are accepted, be aware that each orchestra member contributes an annual donation to TMCO.

We do accept people outside of the medical community however we rarely accept members who are younger than college level. We are an adult orchestra and prefer to keep it that way.
